The gyudon I snagged at L'Insalata Ricca was a knockout! The location is a mere 5-minute stroll to St Peter’s Basilica, and the room was immaculate upon arrival! Plus, they kept the coffee capsules stocked daily — perfect for that morning perk.
Sure, a shampoo hanger would have been fab, and the street noise was a tad distracting with the window open. Some things are just part of the charm.

The spacious room came stocked with plenty of coffee capsules, which made each morning start off on a high note. despite some hiccups, the setup allowed for a delightful walk to nearby attractions each day, giving a taste of the vibrant city life.
I faced a few setbacks. The bathroom cleanliness was lacking. I discovered mold in the shower and the toilet bowl wasn’t properly cleaned. The furniture showed signs of age, with cracked wooden pieces and a clothing rack that was a bit wobbly. One night, the electricity went out for eight hours, and it took until the morning for it to be fixed. the water for the shower had a limited supply and wasn't communicated ahead of time, which could’ve been more transparent.

the location is fantastic, being a short stroll from the vatican and surrounded by charming cafes and shops. the room was spacious, with a large bathroom and effective air conditioning. the digital tv and fast wifi were bonuses!
